Seamstress Restaurant & Bar opened in 2007 in Melbourne’s historic Chinatown district, housed in a 120yr-old former textile factory, warehouse and one-time Buddhist monastery.
Climb the rickety stairs escaping the bustle of the city street to our 50 seater dining room celebrating the merging of traditional pan-asian ingredients with modern kitchen techniques. Our menu is all about shared dining enjoyed in a lively but casual social setting.
Seeking a confident wait staff member to join the team. 30-40 hours available per week for the right candidate. Must have previous wait staff experience and ability to hold a small section.
Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.

Seamstress Restaurant & Bar is a multi level venue comprising of four outlets. Seamstress Dining Room is an intimate 50-seat space with soft colours and warm lighting. The emphasis here is on a social dining experience (sharing is encouraged), yet with a focus on the food. The food has a pan Asian influence yet is heavily influenced by European techniques. Seamstress Cocktail Bar is a classically styled cocktail bar reminiscent of 1930’s members bars or prohibition era speakeasies. There is a strong focus on floor service and craftsmanship bartending with an emphasis towards traditional, classic cocktails. The bar has a small bar food menu and light dining is encouraged, A la carte dining is also available upon request. SweatShop is the dark, urban basement bar of the Seamstress complex. Style of service is fun and casual order from the bar. Also available for private functions, events & private dining. Drystore Espresso is our ground floor coffee shop that operates Monday to Friday
