JOB DESCRIPTION

The Cray is opening up in Rockingham and we are seeking a vibrant, passionate and innovative service focused restaurant manager who will work closely with the owner and franchise executives in implementing staff training and mentoring, growth within the business while maintaining and enhancing our already outstanding customer experience on a full time basis.

As the Manager you will be expected to run the show, greeting the guests, chatting with the regulars while maintaining a first-class style of service that you will embed onto your team! You will be the face of the venue, from start to   finish. This is an opportunity to have complete autonomy and run the venue as if it were your own! As well as customer experience, wine knowledge is vital for the successful candidate. 

We are looking for somebody who really embodies “hospitality” and creates a sense of warmth and inviting atmosphere. In this role, you lead from the front whilst still making time either side of the service period to complete your administrative activities. 

Day to day you will oversee all venue operations whilst working within the FOH team:

  • Hiring, management, training, mentoring & rostering of staff
  • Develop & maintain operational procedures to ensure operational efficiency, excellence in customer service and venue offering
  • Management of venue systems, facilities, and property; stock and inventory management
  • Keep all our systems up to date
  • Rollout of marketing campaigns to drive business growth 
  • Build local & community relationships
  • Oversee and establish a strong & motivated team culture.
  • Revenue generation strategies and marketing opportunities
  • Wage and operational cost management

 

You will be required to commence training at the Belmont venue before the opening date mid-November.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

  • previous experience in a similar role
  • hands on experience in running a restaurant 
  • food and beverage knowledge
  • ability to train, develop and motivate your team
  • knowledge in COGs, budgets, forecasting, social media, rostering and general administrative activities
  • ability to work to KPIs
  • ability to build and nurture existing internal and external relationships
  • driven, friendly, experimental, good at multi tasking, warm 
  • has experience in all areas of FOH
