About the role

We are looking for a talented Venue Manager to drive and develop the team to perform at a World Class level. The individual will be accountable for the entire operations of our Rooftop Bar. The individual will take responsibility in driving the financial outcome of their allocated department/s – Wages, COGS, Expenses, maintenance, & overheads.

The Venue Manager is responsible for overseeing all operational and staffing aspects of the outlet, ensuring the highest standards of service and efficiency are consistently maintained. They will lead regular training sessions and ensure comprehensive outlet induction programs are conducted for all new employees, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

 

Specific responsibilities: 

  • Overall accountability for the people, product, service, and upkeep of their department.
  • Continually analyze and assess performance of the restaurant with a focus on wine and dinner service against its stated objectives; formulate strategies and enact remedies as appropriate.
  • Work in conjunction with F&B, Sales, and Marketing teams to formulate and strategies business and sales ideas – Explore opportunities through research and early activations.
  • Manage staff recruitment, training and rostering of outlet staff in order to ensure guest expectations are exceeded at all times. Training calendar to be created.
  • Manage the effectiveness & overall operations of internal systems and point of sale operations including general IT, Infrasys and 7Rooms.
  • Monitor production from the bar & kitchen to ensure high beverage & food standards for all guests.
  • Maintain the costs of the business – wage, beverage, maintenance and expenses costs as per budgets/targets. Ensure the budget is being met from a topline revenue to bottom line profit %
  • Create relationships with in house guests and clients to drive the business with ongoing floor presents

REQUIREMENTS

Skills & experience  

  • Minimum of 2 years in a senior management role within a high-volume bar or hospitality environment, ideally with a premium venue experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate a VIP guest experience, with a deep understanding of delivering luxury service that exceeds expectations.
  • Expertise in curating and managing premium cocktail, wine, and spirits menus, including an understanding of current and emerging trends in the beverage industry.
  • Track record of driving venue profitability through strategic pricing, upselling, and innovative promotions while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Experience in hiring, training, and developing a high-performing team, with a focus on mentoring staff to deliver consistent service excellence.
  • Ability to plan and execute high-profile events, from concept to completion, ensuring seamless coordination with marketing and operations teams.
  • Understand budget management, cost control, and P&L analysis, with the ability to make data-driven decisions to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in using POS systems, reservation software, and analytics tools to optimize operations, track performance metrics, and enhance the guest.
  • Ability to represent the venue and brand both internally and externally, cultivating relationships with guests, suppliers, and media.
