About Us

Ardo’s is a stand alone business arm of City Winery Brisbane, a working urban winery sourcing grapes from across Australia and making delicious wine within Brisbane. We have rapid expansion plans for the group opening 10 venues over 2 years. Our breathtaking, unique and highly individual venues provide our guests with memorable experiences including wine tastings, fantastic retail experiences and are seen by locals as a favourite hangout for a glass of wine. We pride ourselves on offering a bespoke and boutique experience to our guests. 

The Role

We are currently seeking an extraordinary Venue Manager for the Ardo’s brand to join our vibrant team and to lead our front of house staff to provide our guests with exceptional attentive service. The key focus will be making sure our clients have the perfect experience in an environment that is warm, friendly and unpretentious so your passion for wine and delivering customer service is vital.

A little of what you will be doing:

• Create memorable experiences that reflect the City Winery & Ardo’s brand
• Assist in curating a boutique and unique wine list
• Take charge in operational requirements including stock control, team leadership, recruitment, training, forecasting, and health & safety
• Effectively problem solve guest concerns to deliver an outstanding experience
• Lead and coach a diverse team of people ensuring that team culture is a priority.
• Maintain superior quality standards in customer experience, lead guest experience improvements and champion the Ardo’s brand
• Use your creativity and innovation to identify improvements and maximise efficiencies in the venue.

About You:

To be successful in the role, we are seeking candidates with the following skills, attributes and experience:

• A pure love for everything related to wine and food!
• Previous front-of-house management experience within a restaurant or bar environment
• Availability on weekends is a must
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills
• Demonstrated ability to effectively problem solve in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated professionalism and approachability
• Demonstrated wine knowledge, with a desire and passion to continue to learn & develop.

The following are required to be eligible for the role:

• RSA (Or ability to gain prior to employment)
• Rights to work in Australia
