Venue Manager

Start: ASAP Where: West End, QLD Type: Full time Pay: $75,000 – $95,000 per year

JOB DESCRIPTION

Flying Colours is a beloved neighbourhood bar known for its tasty beers, natural-leaning wines and seasonal cocktails. All enjoyed in our leafy courtyard, cozy warehouse dining room, and side bar where Brisbane's best DJs set the tone.

We pride ourselves on being a welcoming space for our community, offering everything from casual gatherings to lively events. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Venue Manager to join our team and take our bar to new heights.

Responsibilities

● Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service.

● Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and manage bar staff, creating a positive and productive work environment.

● Customer Experience: Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring every guest has a memorable experience.

● Inventory Control: Manage inventory, including ordering, stock control, and

supplier relations.

● Event Coordination: Plan and execute events, promotions, and special nights to attract and retain customers.

● Financial Management: Handle budgeting, financial reporting, and cash

management.

● Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the bar complies with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.

● Marketing: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the bar and increase foot traffic.

Venue Manager

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:

● Proven experience as a Venue Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.

● Strong leadership and team management skills.

● Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.

● Proficient in inventory and financial management.

● Ability to plan and execute events effectively.

● Knowledge of health, safety, and licensing regulations.

● Marketing and social media savvy.

● Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

● RMLV and approved manager certification is required
