JOB DESCRIPTION

The team at Mary Eats Cake are seeking a driven and motivated Venue Manager to take up a hands on position managing our Montrose Tea House.  

We are a fun and sassy High Tea company with two venues located in Brunswick and the Montrose. Through our culinary offerings, service and venue atmosphere, we endeavour to create an exceptional High Tea experience for all of our High Tea bookings and functions.

  • On the floor management of our Front of House Team including face to face service with our lovely clients. 
  • Managing clients' High Tea events.
  • Completing staff rostering
  • Completing weekly running sheets for the Front of House team
  • Assisting with Front of house ordering and stock take
  • Managing a la carte service
  • Meeting with potential clients at the Tea House and showing them through function rooms and package options
  • Liaising with other staff (kitchen and our booking agent) to facilitate booking enquiries
  • Creating an exceptional customer service offering to our clients
  • Sharing the management of catering and box deliveries around Melbourne
  • Contributing to social media management and promotion of the venue

The ideal candidate for the role will be passionate about providing outstanding customer service with an ability to multitask and manage high volumes of work. You must have:

  • A can-do attitude, be super proactive, driven and self-motivated
  • Must have excellent organisation skills
  • Must have skills in managing and motivating a team
  • Have clear and concise communication skills for a fast paced environment
  • Be naturally warm and welcoming, whilst having the ability to be firm in company policy and with team members
  • Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays as part of a full-time roster
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Motivated individual with a strong presence and proven ability to manage a team
  • Passion for exceptional customer service
