About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity at The Boathouse Patonga Hotel for a Sous Chef to join the team and deliver a high-quality sophisticated food and dining experience to our guests. This role will support the Head Chef and will be responsible for: 

• Delivering on trend, relevant, seasonal, seafood focused food offering from the kitchen;
• Ongoing maintenance of all food offerings and their delivery in the kitchen;
• Sourcing growth opportunities, activating ideas and concept delivery in this well-equipped kitchen in an iconic heritage building;
• Ensure that food is prepared and delivered to guests in line with our standards of quality and service.

About You

To be the perfect addition to The Boathouse Group, you will have 2 years of prior experience as a Sous Chef in a high-paced, high-volume environment where you’ve demonstrated your strong leadership and organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure. You’ll also be:

• Able to educate others on new techniques in all sections and maintain high standards of quality and presentation;
• A good communicator with a positive attitude and a genuine team player;
• Neatly presented with extremely high levels of hygiene and pride in your appearance; 
• Organised with a love for well-executed food.
