A part of Colonial Leisure Group, O’Connell’s has been at the forefront of pub gastronomy in Melbourne for 140 years.

O’Connell’s South Melbourne has been home to some of the city’s most well-known chefs including Greg Malouf, Cath Kalka and Adrian Richardson.

In addition to our training and career pathways, our online Academy – Mise en Place - can provide eligible team members with recognized Certificates in Hospitality, you will be able to work and study at the same time.

REQUIREMENTS

·      At least 3 years of experience in a similar role

·      Ability to excel in a high volume, high-pressure environment

·      Possess common sense and a mature attitude

·      Passion for produce and innovation with food

·      A drive to elevate the venue's profile through outstanding product development and delivery

·      Have all relevant industry certifications

·      Ability to work autonomously and to budget with the Head Chef

·      Ability to lead and motivate your team effectively

·      A solid background in functions and events 

·      Maintain high standards of product consistently

·      Time management and organisational skills
