About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity at The Boathouse Group’s iconic Barrenjoey House for a Sous Chef to join the team and deliver a high-quality sophisticated food and dining experience to our guests. This role will support the Head Chef and will be responsible for: 

  • Delivering on trend, relevant, seasonal, seafood focused food offering from the kitchen;
  • Ongoing maintenance of all food offerings and their delivery in the kitchen;
  • Sourcing growth opportunities, activating ideas and concept delivery in this well-equipped kitchen in an iconic heritage building;
  • Ensure that food is prepared and delivered to guests in line with our standards of quality and service.

Head Chef
Sous chef

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

About You

To be the perfect addition to The Boathouse Group, you will have 2 years of prior experience as a Sous Chef in a high-paced, high-volume environment where you’ve demonstrated your strong leadership and organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure. You’ll also be:

  • Able to educate others on new techniques in all sections and maintain high standards of quality and presentation;
  • A good communicator with a positive attitude and a genuine team player;
  • Neatly presented with extremely high levels of hygiene and pride in your appearance. 
  • Organised with a love for well-executed food.
