HQ Group is a design-led hospitality collective that creates unique and inspiring guest experiences in re-imagined spaces. HQ Group owners and operators of Melbourne’s much-loved Arbory Bar & Eatery and Arbory Afloat and their five-story landmark hospitality venue HER, all located in Melbourne’s CBD.

Arbory Bar & Eatery is preparing for an epic Summer 22/23. Seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our dream team Summer crew. 

Working closely with our Head Chef and within a state-of-the-art kitchen, you will work in fast-paced, exciting, and fun work environment.

The role

  • You will manage your team rosters 
  • You will be responsible for food costs and ordering
  • You will develop and maintain accurate recipes 
  • You will work in a high-volume environment but not compromise on quality and preparation of ingredients
  • You will be supported by the Head Chef and Culinary Director

REQUIREMENTS

What we are looking for

  • The ability to operate a high-volume kitchen and maintain the smooth and calm running of the kitchen pass 
  • Possess strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and train junior staff
  • Exceptional planning and organisational skills 
  • Ensure full implementation of workplace health and safety practises 
  • Maintain high standards and lead by example
  • Research and recommend new menu items for our seasonal menu 
  • Form strong and respected relationships with Management
