Shift Manager - Manly

JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re the beer brand born from a Brewpub in Manly 16 years ago, so hospitality runs deep in our veins. We’re as passionate about creating vibrant and exciting venues as we are about slinging beers and we’re bringing our love for everything hospo to our mates on the Northern Beaches.  

We’re looking for a motivated, energetic, and engaged Shift Manager for our iconic Manly Brewpub venue who is keen to build on the venue’s solid reputation, taking hospo to the next level and beyond. 

Your previous experience, hands-on approach will put you as a front runner for the position. Ideally, you’ll be keen to jump in and get busy, want to stick around for a while, have some legendary banter and be a great cultural fit. 

The Role: 

To be well equipped for success in the Shift Manager role, you'll need a few key skills...

  • At least a year or two of supervisor/management experience in a bar/restaurant setting.
  • Able to motivate and train a team of staff.
  • Friendly, positive and approachable attitude.
  • Good banter and up for a challenge.
  • Able to work a mix of day and evening shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
  • Have a valid NSW RSA and unrestricted Australian Work Rights.
  • Instill and foster the 4 Pines core values and personality traits within the team. 
  • Liaising with kitchen to ensure consistent quality and presentation of meals. 
  • Continued improvement of the customer experience. 
  • Hands-on and operational role working alongside a close-knit team of staff to develop, train and upskill. 
  • Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing, council regulations, food safety, WHS and other relevant legislative instruments.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

You: 

  • Must have a deep, fundamental understanding and love for hospitality, people culture and a clear vision of how to evolve this in the future. 
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and train a team of staff. 
  • Pragmatic approach to problem solving and troubleshooting. 
  • Ability to work autonomously with direction and guidance from HQ. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Genuine desire to build a connection with the local community. 
  • At least 2 years of previous venue and people management experience. 
  • Friendly, positive and approachable attitude. 
  • Current VIC RSA. 
  • Must have unrestricted Australian working rights.
