Located in the heart of the Brisbane CBD, near Roma Street Station, Queen Street Mall, Suncorp Stadium and the Brisbane River, the George Williams Hotel is one of the city’s most convenient and affordable destinations for executives, couples and groups visiting this vibrant, cosmopolitan metropolis. We are an established, successful 4 star hotel looking for a Room Attendant to join our friendly and professional team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and daily servicing of guest rooms and common areas of the George Williams Hotel. This role will assist guests while maintaining high standards of excellence and customer service and maintain the sanitation standards of the guest rooms.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Attend morning meeting and accept directions from Facility Manager or Housekeeping Team Leader
  • Maintain security procedure for access key card set
  • Undertake daily cleaning and servicing of guest rooms including making beds, cleaning bathroom area, vacuuming carpet etc
  • Replenish all guest room supplies including bathroom amenities and tea/coffee items;
  • Complete work to the required standard of cleanliness and presentation
  • Meet set time frames for completion of all work
  • Record work completed on daily worksheet in the manner directed
  • Undertake additional cleaning duties in guest rooms as directed e.g. cleaning fridge, cleaning air-conditioner filters, cleaning stained carpet etc
  • Replenish all guest supplies in room and bathroom
  • Identify and report all maintenance issues in guest rooms
  • Attend to requests from hotel guests for room servicing as priority
  • Maintain high standards of customer service when dealing with guests
  • Undertake additional cleaning duties in common areas as directed
  • Unpack linen deliveries into storeroom as required
  • Undertake in house laundry requirements when required
  • Restock housekeeping trolleys on a daily basis
  • Maintain a high standard of personal grooming and hygiene at all times

REQUIREMENTS

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate must be able to meet the following selection criteria:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
  • Capable of operating effectively in a high pressure environment
  • Proven commitment to delivering and improving the customer service experience
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours as determined by the business requirements
  • Currently possess, or be willing to obtain a Police Check Certificate
  • Able to complete manual handling and chemical handling training.
  • If successful, you will join a team of enthusiastic hospitality professionals, focusing on guest service
