JOB DESCRIPTION

Due to internal promotion, Bimbadgen is excited to seek a Restaurant Manager to continue the successful leadership of the talented team in Esca Restaurant. Reporting to the Head of Hospitality, the incoming manager will oversee all aspects of guest satisfaction & financial results. Esca’s menu is driven by connection to our estate wines, local producers, and the Hunter Valley community. As an iconic destination within the Hunter Valley – your role is to foster local relationships & lead a passionate & supportive team. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver an outstanding dining experience & operation in line with Esca brand standards and direction.
  • Collaborate with our winery team on providing the perfect platform to showcase Bimbadgen wine.
  • Monitor, forecast & achieve monthly F&B financial targets (revenue & expenditure).
  • Develop and implement promotional activities and strategies to increase visitation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, key local businesses, industry groups & individuals to promote reputational growth.
  • Ongoing review & refinement of food menu offering & pricing to remain competitive. Work in consultation with Executive Chef & in consideration of market conditions. 
  • Ensure the coordination & operations for all functions is overseen & operated effectively. 

ABOUT YOU

  • Management experience within a premium food & wine venue 
  • Experience coordinating and managing function operations in a restaurant/banqueting environment 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Wine qualifications beneficial (WSET / CMS Certified etc)
  • Familiarity with restaurant financials, wages & profit and loss analysis 
  • Positive team building, communication & organisational skills
  • Passion for food, wine, service and the drive to elevate each dinners experience.

Induction/onboarding required prior to starting role
