Job Brief

We are seeking a ‘Restaurant Manager’ to join our team. Located in the heart of Melbourne CBD our brand-new restaurant, ‘Hoiana’ will be serving Modern Vietnamese cuisine to our patrons. Reporting to the business owners you will be expected to have a positive attitude to lead, mentor, train and manage the front of house staff. Moreover, your skills will be applied to perfect our menu, work on media and marketing projects, and manage events ensuring the highest quality and consistency with products and services that are provided to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage, Supervise and coordinate activities of the front of house team
• Manage customer relations to ensuring top quality service has been provided every time
• Collaborate with business owners, head chef and bartender to improve on the menu
• Maintain a high level of food safety and hygiene at all time
• Stock management and procurement
• Manage social media platforms and promote the venue
• Staff training
• Staff onboarding and offboarding
• Management of budgets, and expenses

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a restaurant manager or roles above
• Has a valid food safety certificate
• Has a Valid RSA certificate
• Certificate IV in hospitality of equivalent
• Advanced experience with computers and social media platforms
• Understanding of Vietnamese culture
• Has extensive knowledge of monitoring costs and minimising waste
• Must be fast, reliable, and organised
• Strong communication skills are essential
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Passionate, ambitious and a team player
