JOB DESCRIPTION

Petersham RSL’s aspiration is to unite their community, creating a vibrant and supportive local Club within modern surroundings. 

Our brand new Club has an opportunity for a confident, mature and customer focused person to take the role as one of our team members looking after the key reception role.

We believe that the person at the front reception is the 'face of the club' and can make or break a customer's experience when coming to our venue. We are looking for a person who can welcome each and every person that comes into our venue and treat them with the great service that they deserve.

In this role, you will be responsible for 'front of house' reception duties that will include;

  • Meeting and greeting our guests;
  • Processing memberships;
  • Providing up to date information with regard to the club's offerings; 
  • Reading what a customer really wants and ensuring that they are guided to the area of the Club that will meet their needs;  
  • Assisting our customers to join or renew their membership; 
  • Receiving and directing all incoming telephone calls; 
  • Taking messages and forwarding them appropriately; 
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the reception work area; 
  • Some basic administrative tasks; 

 

Short listed applicants will be required to complete a personality profile online. Successful applicants may be required to provide a copy of National Criminal History Record Check (NCHRC) from a relevant Australian Police Service. 


RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Front Office
Host/Hostess
Front of Desk Manager
Retail / Customer Service
Call Centre Operator
Flight Attendant / Grounds Crew

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this position you will possess: 

  • A passion to exceed a Hospitality career
  • A strong customer service focus and experience delivering a high-level of service
  • Be well presented and punctual
  • Have accurate cash handling skills
  • Have excellent communications skills
  • Be able to work well in a team
  • Be able to multi task
  • Be computer literate
  • Hold a current LAB approved RSA & RCG Competency Card
  • Able to work opening and closing shifts, including weekends
  • Experience in a similar role would be advantageous
