Job Description

We are currently on the lookout for people who love hospitality and leading teams to join the NEW GYG Carrum Downs Management team!

This is an exciting opportunity for people who come from all kinds of experience levels, whether that be experienced managers or team leaders looking for their first managerial role. Whatever it might be, we have a position for you!

FULL-TIME, PART-TIME AND CASUAL POSITIONS AVAILABLE

GYG Carrum Downs will be opening late-2023, with training to commence as soon as possible at our Moorabbin or Cranbourne restaurants. Our opening management team is mission critical in setting up our restaurant for success, and we need you to help us. 

  • Restaurant Manager - will take ownership of the general running of the restaurant, elevate the customer experience from excellent to remarkable, develop the team through coaching and training opportunities and manage inventory and the financial aspect of the restaurant. You will be in control of, and have accountability for overall quality, adherence to procedures and financial performance of the restaurant.
  • Assistant Restaurant Managers - you’ll be responsible for a particular system within the restaurant as well as supporting the daily management. You will be leading the team through busy service periods, crew training, proactively improving guest experience, and supporting inventory and financial management as required.
  • Shift Leaders - are responsible for effectively leading the team during specific periods of trade and motivating and engaging the team on shift, by championing our food safety and food quality standards. You will be leading the team during busy service periods, crew training and proactively improving guest experience.

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience for Shift Leader
  • Minimum 2 years management experience for Assistant Manager and Restaurant Manager
  • RSA
  • Food Safety Supervisor certificate or willingness to obtain 


Interview required

Induction/onboarding required prior to starting role
