JOB DESCRIPTION

Join the vibrant energy of Vivid Sydney on the iconic Sydney Harbour! We're seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Kitchens to join our catering crew for a fixed-term contract during Sydney’s most iconic winter festival of light, music, and ideas.

 

About the Role

As a Kitchen Hand aboard our vessels, you will support the culinary team in delivering exceptional onboard dining experiences. Under the direction of the Chef, you’ll be involved in various hands-on tasks, including kitchen cleanliness, food prep assistance, and food handling — all while enjoying the electric energy of Vivid Sydney. 

A typical day in the role may include:

  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all kitchen areas

  • Wash dishes, clean surfaces, and ensure all equipment is well maintained

  • Support the chef in food prep and meal service

  • Assist with receiving and rotating stock

  • Help load and unload food and kitchen supplies

  • Uphold food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards

  • Foster strong teamwork with catering and hospitality staff

This role is offered as a 5-week fixed-term contract for the duration of Vivid 2025 (May 23 - June 14). Shifts will primarily take place in the evenings and on weekends, aligned with the Vivid cruise schedule.
