JOB DESCRIPTION

Licensee / Venue Manager: Exciting Opportunity

Young Hotels Group is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic person to join our energetic team at the Five Dock Hotel to take full responsibility for the running and operation of the hotel with a focus on driving business performance and culture, and ensuring that the customer experience and service standards are consistently exceeded. The role will involve leading various teams for different product offerings with multiple revenue streams. Reporting to directly to the group management. 

About You:

The successful applicant will possess:

•   Clear understanding and management of all aspects of the weekly, monthly and yearly P&L, ensuring forecasts and labour budgets are met

•  High competency in cash handling, opening/closing a large venue.

•  Extensive background in a strong gaming orientated venue.

•  Extensive knowledge of TAB and gaming operations and the required service levels to be top of the game, best of the best

•  Create an employment experience including recruiting, training and developing team members as well as reviewing, monitoring and managing existing staff performance;

• Lead by example with a hands on approach to management and operations of the venue

• A friendly, self motivated personality with excellent people skills

•  A passion for the hospitality industry with the ability to create a positive and proactive working environment. This is a hands on role and requires a variety of shifts & weekend work.


RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Assistant Manager
Bar Manager

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

•   A minimum of 3 years previous management experience and strong knowledge in all aspects of running a busy hotel, particularly from a gaming/wagering & F&B perspective. 

•  The ability to hold a hoteliers licence - Current RSA & RCG certificate
