About the Roles

We are on the lookout for a full time Head Chef to join our Rose Bay Cafe team and be responsible for all daily operations of the kitchen from procurement and food preparation to quality control and team leadership, ensuring high quality food is delivered to our guests. Reporting to the Head of Culinary you will:

  • Lead effective people practices for your team including; recruitment, onboarding and performance management;
  • Ensure that food is prepared and delivered to guests in line with The Boathouse Group’s  standards of quality and service;
  • Deliver on trend, relevant, seasonal food offering from the kitchen;
  • Be accountable for sourcing growth opportunities, activating ideas and delivery of concepts.

 


RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Head Chef

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

About You

To be the perfect addition to The Boathouse Group, you will have 5 years prior experience as a Head Chef in a high paced, high volume environment where you’ve used your good time management skills, excellent leadership and the ability to work under pressure. You’ll also be:

  • Able to educate others on new techniques in all sections and maintain high standards of quality and presentation;
  • A good communicator with a positive attitude and a genuine team player;
  • Neatly presented with extremely high levels of hygiene and pride in your appearance. 
  • Organised with a love for well executed food.


We prefer someone Australia Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen.
