HEAD CHEF

$90,000 - $100,000

H2O Restaurant and Bar is part of the award-winning Burnett Riverside Hotel, located on the beautiful Burnett River, Bundaberg.

H2O is best described as an intimate dining location which can seat up to 100 diners, but also has the ability to cater for larger functions, weddings and conferences in our dedicated event spaces.  We are looking for a passionate, reliable and experienced hospitality professional to join us.

WHAT WE OFFER

Fixed, consecutive 2 days off per week ensuring work, life balance

Full time role 

Develop and build your kitchen team to your exacting standards with secondary roles available 

A chance to demonstrate your hands on, managerial expertise with a supportive and experienced general management team 

 The successful chef will have a proven track record in quality operations and is someone eager to demonstrate and share their culinary skills.

Key skills / requirements include:

Proven and current experience undertaking the management and leadership required of this hands-on senior role.

About you 

  • You will be clearly passionate about the food and dining scene, with a clear knowledge of current food flavours and styling.
  • You will be fastidious with personal and kitchen hygiene
  • You are passionate, self-motivated and flexible
  • Understand and demonstrate the importance of stock control inc. stock takes, food costs, procurement, receipt of goods and a thorough understanding and experience of computerised point of sale systems (Ideal POS would be ideal)
  • You are proactive in the development of menu designs, planning, daily specials and the creation of inspiring function and wedding menus.
  • You have current food safety and OHS Knowledge.
  • You want to be involved with team planning and strategy meetings
  • Demonstration of Covid 19 awareness in the hospitality environment is paramount.

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

- Certificate 111 in commercial cookery

- Minimum 2 years in similar role

Additional qualifications and certifications will be highly regarded.

This is not an entry level role and you will be able to demonstrate your skill at working with and leading a team.



Interview required
