JOB DESCRIPTION

The Role:

  • Oversee and direct kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
  • Develop and design new menu items, ensuring seasonal and locally sourced ingredients are used
  • Monitor inventory and ordering of food supplies to ensure adequate stock levels
  • Hire, train, and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling and supervising team members
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
  • Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination between the kitchen and FOH
  • Implement cost control measures to maximize profitability without compromising food quality.

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

You must have:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a reputable restaurant
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, international cuisines, and food handling regulations
  • Ability to manage a high-pressure kitchen environment with attention to detail and quality
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
