Functions Supervisor - The Prince Consort

JOB DESCRIPTION

Redcape Hospitality has excitingly acquired The Prince Consort Hotel in Fortitude Valley as of the 24th of February 2025 and want to get on the front foot. We are seeking experienced, passionate, committed hospitality professional to join our Functions Team as our Functions Supervisor successfully running the Hotel's function operations in a hands-on role (including both FOH & BOH duties). You will have the support and training from an existing highly successful function team. Responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while managing a variety of function spaces and teams across the whole hotel.  
 

The Person

  • Hands-on with a positive, supportive and ambitious attitude with experience in F&B, sales and developing a team of hospitality professionals (although previous supervisory experience is preferred it is not a mandatory requirement).
  • You know how to create a real buzz around the delivery of functions to get your team charging.
  • Passionate about functions, events and delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction & engagement and develop effective relationships with individuals at all levels.
  • Great attention to detail with an excellent ability to multi-task and prioritise.
  • Excellent communication skills with a flair for building and sustaining meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly collaborative, team oriented and supportive of peers and other functional areas when achieving business outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with driving function sales with a sound knowledge of the venue to ensure monthly function targets are met.
  • Deliver a personalised approach to all functions through a high level of engagement with the customer and guests during the function.
  • Ensure all functions are planned, delivered & executed in a way that provides excellent customer experience.
  • Supporting leadership & employee capability, and fostering a high-performance culture through continuous improvement, innovation and training programs.
  • Co-ordinate and/or supervise the set-up, service delivery and breakdown of functions to ensure the highest standards.
  • Presenting solutions and continuous improvement initiatives through strong customer communication and liaison with management and the wider community.
  • This role requires physicality as some moving of function furniture is required.
  • Previous experience with iVvy or similar functions related software would be a bonus but is not a mandatory requirement. 
  • General computer proficiency & literacy.
