The Role

The Glen Hotel is a well-established family business in Brisbane's fast-growing suburban satellite hub, Eight Mile Plains.

We are looking for experienced function bartenders to join our team. This person will work with our events management team to provide excellence in delivering Meetings, Conferences, Events and Weddings, at The Glen Hotel.   

The Hotel

The Glen is a dynamic hub, a standout property to host a full range of conference and event business. It has an excellent reputation with a strong customer service culture that exceeds clients' requirements.

The Hotel has five meeting and event spaces (from 10 – 300 pax capacity), 43 room 4.5-star accommodation, gaming, bars, a full service 150 pax restaurant| function space, an expansive casual dining area with a capacity for 300-400 pax, incl: a pizzeria, a coffee shop and dessert parlour and parking for over 200 cars. 

2022 provides an opportunity to take The Glen Hotel’s MICE business to the next level, as Eight Mile Plains expands its technology and business park precincts and new State Government infrastructure is created in the area.

Your role will include:

• Will work closely with the event management team to execute events/functions
• Set up functions in timely manner for events including table movement, crockery and cutlery set up
• Providing and ensuring efficient and exceptional customer service to our guests
• Food and beverage service table service; carrying of multiple plates
• Ensuring effective replenishment of food and beverage products
• Maintaining floor cleanliness including table clearing, glass and plate collection
• General cleaning duties as required
• To deliver and exceed a high level of customer service

About You: 

• Be available to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends
• Demonstrated experience within functions or as a waitstaff member  
• A positive, flexible working attitude and friendly manner
• Be a hospitality professional
• Excellent organisational, time management and multitasking skills
• Have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
• Eye for detail and accuracy.
• You are able to work unsupervised and within a team
• Be available to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends
• Ability to work calmly under pressure in a demanding environment
• Excellent grooming standard.
