Food & Beverage Team Leader

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, this is a hands on and fast-paced role that will see you supporting our Food & Beverage team across our restaurant, lobby bar, cafe, in-room dining and conferencing outlets.

Your role as Food & Beverage Team Leader will primarily involve:

  • Ensure efficient, friendly and professional food and beverage service is provided to all guests.
  • Liaise with customers and Chef/kitchen brigade to ensure service times are adhered to.
  • Ensure revenue for the shift is accounted for with cash/charge summary being completed to balance daily activities.
  • Leading the team of food and beverage attendants in all areas such as; operations, employee engagement and training & development
  • Attending to operational problems and needs promptly, including assisting with customer complaints, enquiries and requests.
  • Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies.
  • Maintain currency of RSA certification, amendments and updates and adhere to RSA principles.

Your experience and skills include:

  • Service focused personality is essential and a passion for everything food and beverage
  • Experience in a similar role with exposure to leading, motivating and developing others is desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities and the ability to lead by example
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Available to work a flexible roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Strong Coffee, drinks and food knowledge
