  • Flexibility in amount of hours; venue opens each Thursday night and Friday night for bar/bistro, Saturday night and Sunday evenings for bar & functions and some weekday function service as booked.
  • Work in with your study, or other family commitments with an expectation of three shifts per week (depending on season).

The Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron is a boating and social club located on the foreshore of Beaumaris Bay. The Clubhouse enjoys spectacular uninterrupted views of Port Philip Bay and is a great place for a meal, casual drinks on the deck, private family celebrations or a wedding reception.

We are currently seeking an experienced F&B All-Rounder to join our front of house service team. Working in with hands-on leaders in a small but united team, this role is best suited to an experienced hospitality person with sound food & wine knowledge, coffee making experience and cocktail making skills.

The key element to the person we are looking for is their enthusiasm for ensuring we keep our positive team culture and has natural confidence in providing friendly, inviting and professional hospitality experiences every time.

Skills required for the role:

  • Hospitality experience in a bistro, bar and/or function environment and the use of POS ordering technology..
  • Excellent understanding of wine, cocktails, tap beer & coffee preparation.
  • Limited heavy lifting can be necessary for tapping kegs, re-stocking bars and moving delivered cases of wines, beers & spirits.
  • Willingness to work across a range of evenings and/or weekend shifts per the business demands of the functions and bistro operation.
  • Must have own transport, as some nights are late finishes.
  • The ability to think on your feet and adapt to any given situation.
  • Willingness to work autonomously (open/close venue) on occasion.
  • RSA Certified essential, with First Aid preferred.
