Brisbane newest groups of drink-in wine shops.

We are opening brand new boutique wine shops that will be the new local for the wine savvy of Brisbane and surrounds. Think a highly Somm driven list of natural Australian and unique European wines, small snacks and friendly but efficient service. This position is ideal for someone wanting casual but consistent hours of 20-25 hours a week and no late nights. Full time is available for the right candidate if required.

Who we are looking for:

• Wine knowledge is paramount – you don’t need to be a Somm as you will receive lots of ongoing training, but a decent base is needed
• Comfortable pouring wine at tables whilst having a chat
• Friendly and positive attitude with a desire to learn more about wine and hospitality
• Good taste in music and great chat
• Get the advantage of working for a large group where you can move around between all our venues!

Job Type: Casual

Salary: $29.40 – $41.16 per hour

Licence/Certification:

• Driver Licence (Preferred)

Work Authorisation:

• Australia (Required)

• 2 years experience as a waiter in a similar environment
• Excellent food and wine knowledge
• A strong understanding of run of service in a busy restaurant/café
• Experience using POS systems
• Able to carry 3 plates (or willing to learn how)
• An expert communicator – with customers and fellow staff
• Applicants must be flexible and be available to work a variety of day and weekend shifts
