JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a small, vibrant venue at the bottom of the Dandenong's that is known for our food and our live music that runs every Friday, Saturday & Sunday Nights and are now looking for an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to assist the Venue Manager in the day to day running of our popular family owned Bar & Restaurant located in The Basin VIC.

We are looking for a motivated person to lead our close knit team and to provide exceptional customer service to all our customers.  

This role requires a person that is able to lead and coach our front of house team, whilst also being highly organized and willing to lead by example.  You must be able to delegate duties and tasks, but also willing to jump in and assist in all areas to ensure the best possible experience for our customers.

Or Venue is open from Wednesday to Saturday for Dinner and all day Sundays from 12pm.  

This role will require you to be available on Friday, Saturday's and Sunday's (our busiest days) and will be on a casual basis with the potential for permanent part time on satisfactory completion of a 3 month probation period.  

Key Duties:

  • Assist the Venue Manager in leading a team of wait & bar staff in a mix of dining and bar drinks
  • Work closely with the Venue Manager to ensure the smooth running of the restaurant
  • Training of staff to perform their allocated roles
  • Maintaining a positive culture with our team and customers.
  • Greeting of all our customers and ensure that they have a positive experience when in our establishment
  • Undertake specific management tasks including the opening and closing duties on your allocated shifts.
  • Familiarity with Lightspeed and OpenTable would be advantageous or other Hospitality POS System and Booking system
  • Other Ad-Hoc duties as directed by management.

About You:

  • A minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role or in a senior floor staff position.
  • Experience in leading and motivating your team with a “hands on approach” in every shift
  • Excellent Interpersonal, Communication and Organizational Skills
  • Passion for hospitality and willing to work in a high pace environment.
  • Must have a current RSA and Coffee making experience

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role or a senior floor staff position
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly organized and proactive
  • Passion for hospitality and customer service
  • Demonstrated experience in a high pace environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience using Lightspeed and Opentable would be advantageous, but full training can also be provided
  • Must have current RSA and Coffee making experience
