WHO ARE WE?

Eau de Vie Melbourne has been a fixture on the Melbourne bar scene for over 10 years now. We champion both style and substance; our extensive cocktail menu is widely known for its theatrics and we place the guest experience above all else. Our venue is one of the most highly awarded in Australia, having won Cocktail Bar of the Year and Cocktail List of the Year at the Bar Awards, both of which we are currently nominated for this year.

We see ourselves as a training ground for future hospo superstars and are now looking for the next generation! With a selection of over 400 whiskies and a new menu of 40 cocktails on the way, we boast a really interesting offering and all the resources available to help you learn about it. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Knowledgeable and personable floor staff are the primary link between our guests and our extensive offering. You’ll need a bubbly personality, strong communication skills and the ability to think on your feet, but most of all a desire to learn. This role is well suited to those looking to gain a strong background in hospitality fundamentals.

Can be flexible with hours (20-38h/week depending on your preference) but Fri/Sat are a must. We generally expect a minimum of one year hospitality experience, but as we place a strong focus on staff development we are more than happy to take people with the right attitude and train them into their role. We want people who are passionate about what they do and with the drive to go the extra step to progress in their career.

WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

You’ll have a mountain of resources at your disposal to ensure your success and have the mentorship of our upper management to oversee your progress. Our unique training platform Ananas Academy will make you a cocktail and whisky expert in no time and we offer regular in-house tastings and training sessions. You’ll also be able to get your creative juices flowing with constant opportunities on the horizon. Into cocktail competitions? We have a bevy of former comp winners to help mentor you in your entries.

The Speakeasy Group entails 7 venues across Melbourne and Sydney with a generous staff discount across the board.
