JOB DESCRIPTION

We are on the look out for a highly experienced chef, looking to work in a fast paced dynamic kitchen within a new Mexican venue.

We are looking for a talented and experienced chef with a flair for innovation and a deep love of food. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing menus, preparing high-quality dishes, and ensuring our kitchen operates at the highest standards of excellence. If you are passionate about culinary arts, love experimenting with flavors, and have a keen eye for presentation, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop creative and seasonal menus
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards
  • Oversee the kitchen team to ensure efficiency and quality
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
  • Source and manage ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a chef
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training
  • Exceptional cooking skills with a strong understanding of modern and traditional culinary techniques
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Creativity and passion for creating visually appealing and delicious dishes
  • Familiarity with food cost management and kitchen inventory control
