We are seeking a passionate and experienced barista with a strong dedication to coffee and exceptional customer service to join our team at Jamaica Blue Hervey Bay. The ideal candidate should possess the following attributes:

  • Passion for delivering top-notch customer service and cultivating relationships with our regular customers.
  • A natural fit for the café environment, always ready to assist colleagues whenever needed.
  • An objective mindset, capable of collaborating with our teams on research related to new equipment, practices, and methods.
  • Proficiency in listening, leading, and aiding in the training of new team members.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical Knowledge:

The successful candidate should also be proficient in:

  • Making grinder adjustments.
  • Consistently texturing various types of milk in a high-paced setting.
  • Offering recommendations for different coffee products, such as blends and Single Origin options, to customers.
  • Conducting efficient and thorough mid-service and end-of-day cleaning routines.
  • Availability on both weekdays and weekends.
  • Willingness to adapt to different stations as needed.
  • Strong customer relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
