JOB DESCRIPTION

Country Comfort Perth is seeking an Executive Executive Chef for its The Firehouse Restaurant, to lead the culinary team to be at the forefront of our food offering, providing our guests with exceptional, creative, locally sourced and seasonal gastronomic delights.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Be a driver in all aspects of food preparation and follow our ethos of minimal food wastage
  • Have the experience to manage and lead the team through very busy service in the Restaurant without compromising on quality 
  • Ensure a positive relationship is maintained between back of house and front of house
  • Manage HACCP and ensure the highest hygiene standards are maintained at all times
  • Ensure high quality production and presentation of the menu and be ready to contribute with your creative ideas.
  • Review and take on board customer feedback and find new ways to delight our guests
  • Remain calm, confident, and have a hands-on approach especially during busy periods 
  • Provide regular feedback, coaching, support and guidance to the team in order to create a positive environment and achieve ‘excellence’ and ‘engagement’ within the team
  • Manage the ordering and have an understanding of the P&L and how to manage costs
  • Assist to complete rosters and manage the payroll and productivity to reflect operating forecasts and budgets
  • Assist in effective recruitment, training, targeted development, reward & recognition programs to ensure positive retention and growth.

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Sous chef

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

You will possess:

  • The ability to curate memorable experiences for our guests through the quality of your food
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a busy restaurant or hotel 
  • Professional verbal communication skills and strong eye for detail
  • Impeccable hygiene, grooming and presentation 
  • Strong work ethic and flexibility to work over 7 days a week rotating roster including some public holidays.
  • Superior organizational, time management and follow through skills
