JOB DESCRIPTION

Sofitel Melbourne is looking out for a guest-centric Event Floor Manager to join the team. The Event Floor Manager is responsible for ensuring optimum guest and client satisfaction for a wide variety of functions—from a business meeting for four people to an opening night gala for 800!  Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills are essential for the right candidate as this role is ‘hands on’. No two shifts are ever the same and you will be required to work a rotating roster including day, night, weekend and public holiday shifts.

MY KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervising and supporting a team of ambassadors and working as the point of contact for clients
  • Providing service to guests, ensuring maximum satisfaction and adherence to standards
  • Reading and interpreting event orders to effectively deliver on client requests
  • Liaising with Conference and Events Planning team
  • Liaising with kitchen ambassadors to ensure that quality and quantities are maintained to the required standards
  • Be actively involved with Department/Hotel’s committees for WHS, Training and EMS

  • Strong leadership skills developed in a similar operation with a customer centric mindset
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends in service, product and presentation
  • Be observant with a perception for ones surroundings and able to resolve conflicts effectively
  • Demonstrate versatility in responding to guest requests and situations
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends and public holidays
  • Strong guest focus and attention to detail

  • Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
