Ebisu serves up contemporary Japanese fare in a gloriously moody space right on Auckland’s waterfront in an historic building in Auckland’s Britomart precinct. A mixture of booths and tables are perfect for big groups or intimate gatherings. The Opportunity 

We have the perfect opportunity for a keen Commis Chef to join our team at Ebisu in Britomart! Ideally you will have 1 - 2 years experience in a comparable kitchen, experience with Japanese cuisine is essentail, a strong desire to learn and work as a team, have a true passion for hospitality and people, and the ability to work a flexible roster is a must.  

In this role you will be responsible for 

• The operation of your appointed kitchen section
• Quality execution of all food offerings
• Contributing to the overall customer experience 
• Assisting in the execution of stock management including, ordering, recepting, storing, rotation, portion control and wastage 
• Meeting and exceeding Savor standards of quality and consistency 
• Adhering to health and safety, food control plan, and company policies
• Adhering to tasks as requested by the Head Chef and senior team members
