JOB DESCRIPTION

Koala Tavern is currently undergoing a $3 million renovation to revamp the venue for the local community. With a new gaming room, huge beer garden, pumping sports bar and bistro, The Koala Tavern is transforming into an entertainment oasis for the local community. This new-look Tavern will also bring a refined dining menu offering modern takes on classic Australian pub food such as schnitzels, burgers, steaks, and hot roast chicken rolls.

As a Duty Manager, your role will involve:  

  • Managing a diverse team
  • Controlling labour on a daily basis  
  • Troubleshooting through any IT issues  
  • Resolving customer complaints and ensuring the highest level of customer service is met  
  • Managing bookings, private events, and key sessions  
  • Training, mentoring and inducting new team members into the business  
  • Basic revenue reporting and till reconciliation at the end of your shift

REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:  

  • Previous hospitality supervisor/management experience  
  • Full working rights in Australia and valid RSA, RSG, TAB, QLD RMLV and approved managers license preferable, training can be provided
  • Proficient computer skills  
  • Ability to thrive under pressure 
  • Ability to take direction from Venue Manager and implement strategies   
  • Ensuring all policies, procedures and standards are met and clearly communicated
