voco Melbourne Central is a beautifully appointed venue of 252 rooms in the heart of the CBD. A design lead property harking back to the glorious days of the Victorian Goldrush, the hotel boasts dramatic archways, gold accents and a warm and contemporary finish. When our guests take a moment to appreciate its beauty, they may gaze out from our rooftop balcony, with an enviable view of many of Melbourne’s iconic landmarks or enjoy the convivilaity of our food and bevearge hosts in our BlackSmith Bar and Grill.
As Duty Manager you will often be the welcoming introduction to voco. As a senior member of the Front Office team you will lead from the front, ensuring our guests feel welcomed and subtlety delighted throughout their stay. voco service style is relaxed but knowledgeable, people focused,concentrating on making a uniquely curated experience from start to finish. Remembering guests’ names and their individual needs, ensuring they are welcomed and feel cared for. This will all be a part of your day.
You will collaborate with all other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience. You will also have a heightened sense of security and capability in an emergency, ensuring our guest fell relaxed and safe at all times
We are so proud of our hotel, and to ensure it is always shown at its best, you will conduct regular visual audits, keeping all public areas safe and secure for guests and colleagues. Collaborating with all other departments will be essential in making our guests’ experience seamless and memorable – Reliably Different.You will be comfortable in the role of Chief Host, collaborating with operations team to ensure a seamless service to all guests. You will have a strong knowledge of current hotel systems including Opera, Concerto, HUB and Shiji infrasys, and your warm and approachable communication style is what you are most known for.
You hold Valid Certifications including Responsible Service of Alcohol and First Aid certifications as well as current drivers licence and are required and know that flexibility in this role is key – late night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job.
