JOB DESCRIPTION

Kenmore Tavern are looking for a Duty Managers to join the team. 

A local favourite with friendly staff and a fantastic modern decor that sets the venue apart from others. From meeting with friends in the lounge to family dinners in our European-style restaurant – enjoy a selection of delicious steaks, seafood, handcrafted pizzas and even a couple of pub classics.

We are on the hunt for a Duty Manager to join the leadership team.

The successful candidate must be a strong leader with good communication skills who is comfortable leading and inspiring the team.

Key criteria:

· Has a passion for the industry and are committed to a successful career in hospitality

· Projects a friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude at all times

· Enjoys working with others in a team environment, whilst leading from the front

· Possesses exceptional customer service and presentation skills

· Has both restaurant and extensive bar service experience

· Thrives under pressure

· Hands on management of the venue including day to day operations

· Maintaining and exceeding overall minimum standards

· Training and development of staff to ensure a consistently amazing customer experience

· Ensuring policies, procedures and standards are current, effective and clearly communicated

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Essential requirements:

· Proven experience in a similar role

· Strong food, beverage, functions and gaming knowledge

· Take direction from Venue Manager and implement in day-to-day operations

· Communicate to a team of multi-skilled individuals effectively

· Manage bookings, private events, and key sessions

· Career minded with exceptional leadership skills

· Control labour effectively

· Ability to troubleshoot and think quickly

· Resolve customer complaints and ensure the highest standard of customer service

· Understanding of basic financials and ability to cash up

· Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office

· Ability to work flexible hours

· QLD RMLV and Approved Managers License
