JOB DESCRIPTION

The Bank in Carnegie is looking for a career minded hospitality professional, seeking a long-term management role with guaranteed career progression, as we look to cement the position of this venue and expand the hospitality group.

The Bank is a 250-capacity suburban pub located on Koornang Road, a busy restaurant and shopping strip. With a kitchen, two bars, expansive beer garden and a small dining and functions space, the venue caters for a diverse customer base. Above all, it is a venue for the local community.

The venue has a strong beer, wine and cocktail offering, which is evenly split. The food menu delivers elevated pub food and sharing options for large groups of people.

We are seeking a full-time Duty Manager with management experience in a similar sized venue, who can contribute to the growth and development of the venue. 

The management team and owners will work alongside you to build your skill set to enable you to progress to the role of venue manager in 18 months time.

Previous experience is preferred but not necessary. We are seeking the right person to take on this role, who will become an integral part of our business. Personality fit and work ethic are our priorities, and applicants who are committed to the long term plan will be strongly considered.

This is an all-encompassing role, that includes all facets of running a hospitality business. Training will be provided, however previous experience is valued.

Examples of day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Supervising venue operations, including opening and closing the venue, running shifts, coordinating functions and bookings.
  • Stock control, ordering, stocktake, menu building, supplier relationships and costing.
  • Managing financial controls and operating costs.
  • Managing staff, recruitment and rostering.
