We are on the hunt for a superstar Duty Manager to join our management team at The Smith. The successful candidate must be a strong leader, excellent communicator and know how to lead and inspire the team. You have to love the hospitality industry and want to succeed in this industry - something which AVC can help you with! · Has a passion for the industry and are committed to a successful career in hospitality
· Projects a friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude at all times
· Enjoys working with others in a team environment, whilst leading from the front
· Possesses exceptional customer service and presentation skills
· Has both restaurant and extensive bar service experience
· Thrives under pressure
· Hands on management of the venue including day to day operations
· Maintaining and exceeding overall minimum standards
· Training and development of staff to ensure a consistently amazing customer experience
· Ensuring policies, procedures and standards are current, effective and clearly communicated

Essential requirements:
· Proven experience in a similar role
· Strong food, beverage, functions and gaming knowledge
· Take direction from Venue Manager and implement in day-to-day operations
· Communicate to a team of multi-skilled individuals effectively
· Manage bookings, private events, and key sessions
· Career minded with exceptional leadership skills
· Control labour effectively
· Ability to troubleshoot and think quickly
· Resolve customer complaints and ensure the highest standard of customer service
· Understanding of basic financials and ability to cash up
· Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
· Ability to work flexible hours
