We’re searching for a creative, energetic and dedicated Marketing Manager focused on execution for the Australian and New Zealand business.
About the role:
The Marketing Manager role is a digital gun with creative capacity to push the boundaries with new and fresh ideas. The role reports to the CEO, and is a key role to execute the Barcats marketing strategy.
You will thrive in this role if you are an ideas person and a self-starter, with the ability to execute the strategic marketing direction that has been set.
Your planning and time management skills that you’ve gathered from your 1-3+ years plus in a similar role are absolutely key to ensure you can keep up with the fast-paced and growing trajectory of the Barcats business as it powers on with its global expansion and growth plans.
In this role, you need to be at the forefront of marketing trends and platforms and be tech savvy. Your strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to be able to plan in the short, medium and long term to execute the set marketing strategy for the Barcats business.
This is a key role in developing our hospitality community and connecting our large staff and venue community with our key sponsors including Diageo, Lion, Nestle Professional, Lactalis to name a few who rely on Barcats to help build advocacy and ambassadors for their brands
Your responsibilities will include:
- Executing the digital marketing strategy for the Barcats Australia and New Zealand business, driving the creation and implementation of creative and engaging content, including social media posts, website copy, videos and more
- Manage scheduling and executing posts across various social media platforms
- Grow the social media audiences for all our targets/community partners and driving engagement
- Writing copy
- Email marketing / Mailchimp automation
- Budget coordination
- Analysing the effectiveness of paid spend and providing insights to improve
- Set KPIs for campaigns and measure and report on success and learnings from each campaign
- Communication with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network across hospitality in Australia and New Zealand
- Develop individual sponsor marketing plans for the Barcats calendar of key programs and events, with a particular focus on driving sponsorship marketing to enhance staff acquisition, retention and hospitality venue engagement.
- Manage Barcats sponsor digital advertising asset inventory and reporting key metrics to website, email and social media advertising activity. Overseeing all scheduling and delivery of sponsor marketing material.
- Sponsor Servicing: Be in direct communication with key contacts for each sponsor to receive forward planning content calendar.
- Ensures all contractual benefits are delivered to each of Barcats sponsors across all programs and events.
- Builds and maintains positive and constructive relationships with all Barcats sponsors.
- Proactively identifies add value opportunities for sponsors to grow their return on investment annually.
- Manages the monthly and annual reporting process for all sponsors, including developing reports, excel sharing documents and presentations.
Your skills & knowledge:
- 3+ years’ Marketing experience
- 1+ years’ experience in social/digital media management across various platform
- Excellent knowledge about digital/social media best practice
- Data mining ability from CRM/website back end, to generate insights that drive compelling marketing campaigns and can measure ROI
- Experience in hunting and gathering data and analytics from Facebook Business Manager, Google Analytics, Sprout Social (or similar) and Creator Studio experience
- Experience using Adobe (Photoshop, Premiere, Pro etc) Mailchimp and Canva
- Be a willing team player
- Willingness to learn and be led with enthusiasm and dedication
- Our world moves fast – so you’ll need the ability to plan and manage workload within tight deadlines and turnaround times
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – you need to be able to spot a typo at 10 paces and be able to communicate to a wide variety of audiences
- Tech savvy with exceptional skills in Microsoft and Google program suites
