The Gig
As a Demi Chef in our Ground Floor Kitchen, you’ll be at the heart of a dynamic culinary team, ensuring the highest standards in food preparation, presentation, and quality. Reporting to the Head Chef, you'll oversee your section, manage mise en place, and contribute to menu development while maintaining cost control and minimising waste. You'll assist in training and mentoring junior team members, uphold strict food safety and hygiene standards, and collaborate with the wider kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience. With a passion for seasonal ingredients, sustainability, and innovative cuisine, you’ll play a key role in bringing our menu to life while supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role in a restaurant or hotel kitchen as a qualified chef.
Strong knowledge of modern cooking techniques, seasonal ingredients, and local Australian cuisine.
A genuine enthusiasm for cooking and a passion for delivering memorable dining experiences.
A keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety regulations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality and consistency.
A collaborative mindset with a drive to support team development and continuous learning.
