JOB DESCRIPTION

We require a cook to be part of our kitchen staff and join our team on a rotating roster.

The position requires someone who can concentrate, learn and works well with others. In return for your skills, we offer a competitive rate of pay and career development opportunities.

Essential duties for the role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Food preparation
  • General cleaning of designated areas, scrubbing, dusting, mopping, pots, plates etc.
  • Assist to present menu items where required, under the guidance of a Sous Chef or Executive Chef
  • Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage, whereby you will be required to liaise and work closely with the senior culinary team
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned.
  • Ensure consistent and quality food production
  • Meet all health and hygiene requirements

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Cook
Crew Member

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years experience in a similar position
  • Flexible multitasking skills
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • The ability to work on a rostered shift basis and able to cover shifts when needed
  • A team player
  • Empathy and the will to help others
