JOB DESCRIPTION

New Quarter, Smack bang in the middle of the buzzing Swan Street is on the hunt for a Part-Time Commis Chef

 

Our modern Vietnamese menu, tailored drinks list and friendly yet genuine service is something we care deeply about. 

Slightly more refined and minimalist compared to our other venues, she still carries the same swagger as her older siblings, pumping good time tunes and laid-back vibes

Our team is passionate, engaged, and excited about Asian cuisine and the dining industry as a whole. We are constantly joining exciting events around the city and have a strong passion for food, creativity and the environment.

  • New Quarter - A neo-Vietnamese restaurant shoved in the middle of Richmond, set in an elegantly designed space where food is inspired by the fresh and fragrant dishes of Vietnam but with a serious modern refinement
  • Moonhouse - BRAND NEW Chinese Bistro inside the ICONIC Illona Staller site, smack bang in the beating heart of Balaclava. The art deco heritage building is being turned into a new concept which will serve up Chinese cuisine in a chic bistro setting

REQUIREMENTS

ABOUT YOU:

Candidates must have or be completing a Diploma or a Certificate in Commercial Cookery and experience in a Commercial Kitchen Relevant to the position you are applying for - Would suit someone studying or someone looking to get experience in the casual fine dining space

(We are also all about Asian Cuisine, so a love of that, or a drive to learn is a bonus!)

 

Most importantly, Commune Group are after a fun, vibrant personality who loves to be busy and is looking to not only be a part of a tight-nit team, but is also wanting to make their stamp in the Melbourne Hospitality scene.
