JOB DESCRIPTION

The newly refurbished Stag's Head Hotel in Williamstown is looking for a sous chef, casual chefs and all-rounders/dishwashers to join our team. We offer a fun, positive, team-focussed working enviroment and pride ourselves on producing delicious, high quality, bistro-style pub food, made from scratch using locally sourced, fresh, in-season produce.

We are looking for driven, passionate individuals with a stong work ethic that can show initiative, as well being a team player. This is a great opportunity to showcase your creative flair and have input into our seasonal menus, as well as further develop your culinary skills.


RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Commis Chef
Kitchen Hand

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

You will ideally have:

  • Relevant trade qualification.
  • Proven experience in a pub/hotel or similar environment, minimum 2 years.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to create and execute menus that cater to a diverse range of tastes and dietary requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high food quality standards.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in food handling and hygiene.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
