JOB DESCRIPTION

Rick Shores are currently seeking a Chef De Partie to join the team at our iconic Burleigh Heads location! 

Rick Shores embraces the Gold Coast's relaxed atmosphere to a tee, our mission is to make all our customers feel welcome, whether they're in a three-piece suit or boardies and a t-shirt. And it’s perhaps that unfussy approach that makes it easy to forget that Rick Shores is a world-class restaurant!

Our Pan-Asian menu ranges far and wide, from kingfish sashimi and oysters served with a Thai vinaigrette to fragrant red duck and smoked pork curries, and madras-spiced lamb or sticky pork belly for mains. With a strong emphasis on creativity our menus change regularly keeping our team engaged and excited and we pride ourselves on making it all from scratch!

Key Responsibilities;

  • Experience working in a high end modern, a la carte kitchen
  • Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Passion for guest service and experience
  • Supervise junior cooking and other kitchen personnel and coordinates their assignments
  • Observes and execute methods of food preparation and cooking, size of portion, and garnishing of food
  • Personal grooming standards suited to a guest focused business

REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for a chef who has:

  • Relevant qualifications
  • Proven passion for the industry
  • A drive to learn and willingness to follow direction
  • An emphasis on quality and pride in your work
  • A great work ethic and team player

As a member of our team you will get both the opportunity to learn as well as getting to bring your own skills to the team around you. Your working week will consist of Four days on and three days this generally equates to 42 hours.

Please note: We are looking for all levels so please apply if you have a genuine interest in cooking great food. We are looking for senior chefs as well. To be successful in obtaining a senior role you would need a minimum for 4 years in a similar role in either hatted or Michelin starred restaurants.
