JOB DESCRIPTION

The Company:

Sirromet Wines is a fresh and vibrant family owned and operated winery located at Mt Cotton just 30 minutes from the Brisbane CBD and the Northern end of the Gold Coast. On site you will find a state of the art winery production facility, fine dining restaurant, Cellar Door with a vibrant café, Tuscan Terrace Café, glamping style accommodation, functions and event facilities. Beautiful surroundings, combined with views of Moreton Bay and first class service is the reason so many people choose Sirromet Wines for their functions, events and weddings.

We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen operations.

 

Your Responsibilities as Chef de Partie:

  • Preparing and cooking food
  • Review quality of dishes during all stages of prep and dishing up
  • Prepare dishes to meet special dietary requirements
  • Assist with ordering and estimating food requirements to prevent wastage
  • Discuss any food preparation issues with relevant staff members
  • Demonstrate new techniques and cooking procedures
  • Correct storing of food in temperate controlled areas
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Ability to train other kitchen staff and apprentices

REQUIREMENTS

What we are looking for:

To be successful in your application for this full time salary role you will need to have a minimum of 2-3 years post apprenticeship experience and possess the following knowledge, skills and attributes:

  • Recent experience in a medium to large fast paced kitchen
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and true dedication to producing superior meals
  • Great attention to detail, highly organised and able to multi-task
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Available to work weekends, public holidays, day shifts and evening shifts
  • Own reliable transport as there is no public transport to our premises
  • Full Australian working rights

To comply with the Queensland Government’s COVID restrictions regarding Hospitality venues, the successful candidate MUST be double vaccinated for COVID-19 and proof of vaccinations must be provided before they are able to commence in this position.
