Our Sous Chef | Station Chef is a professional responsible for overseeing a section of the kitchen, and will lead a section during service times, ensuring menu presentation and portions are to Navarra standards, whilst following food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure food is prepared in line with Navarra recipe cards, this includes and is not limited to suppliers, portions, method, and presentation.
• Assist in stock takes as per company guidelines.
• Be familiar and aware of the quality of produce and present any wins and concerns to our Head Chef or Executive Chef.
• You are to motivate all kitchen staff to deliver premium quality meals to customers.
• Prepare, cook, and present food to order in line with all food hygiene standards and company guidelines.
• Maintain and record the cleanliness and sanitisation of the kitchen, equipment, and storage areas in accordance with health standards and regulations.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment in line with WH&S policies and procedures.
• Planning Menus, estimating food and labuor costs and ordering food for events
• Ensure the kitchen complies with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

About you

• Food Safety Handling Certificate required.
• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the position of  Sous Chef | Station Chef or 3 years as Commis Chef or equivalent.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office, and any other relevant ordering systems.
