JOB DESCRIPTION

With the city’s best food and fashion on its doorstep, Pullman Melbourne City Centre offers a new level of urban sophistication – an oasis of style in the heart of one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities and we are seeking a Chef De Partie to join our young, dynamic kitchen crew.

This role will be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing the team
  • Culinary creativity, menu planning and food quality
  • Food safety compliance
  • Brand management

 


RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will have the following: 

  • Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to manage a small kitchen and work autonomously.
  • Knowledge and experience in menu design, costing and implementation.
  • Experience in managing cost of goods.
  • Understanding of Food Safety Plans
  • Experience in developing and maintaining professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Availability across the week including evenings and weekends with no extended periods of absence planned over the next 6 months.
