**Job Description: Chef de Partie at Petermen Restaurant by Josh Niland**

 

**Position Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our team at Petermen Restaurant, helmed by renowned chef Josh Niland. As a Chef de Partie, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high culinary standards of the restaurant while contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

 

**Responsibilities:**

- Assist the Head Chef in preparing and executing dishes according to Josh Niland's innovative and cutting-edge culinary philosophy.

- Take ownership of a specific section in the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared, cooked, and presented to perfection.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict hygiene and food safety standards.

- Collaborate closely with other members of the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy periods.

- Support the development of new menu items, contributing your ideas and expertise to the creative process.

- Assist in the training and mentorship of junior kitchen staff, sharing your knowledge and skills to foster a collaborative learning environment.

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Chef de Partie

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

**Qualifications:**

- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or a similar role in a high-end restaurant setting.

- In-depth knowledge of modern culinary techniques, including Fish butchery, preparation, and various cooking methods.

- Passion for sourcing and working with the finest ingredients, showcasing a dedication to quality and sustainability.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills, essential for a dynamic kitchen environment.

- Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain composure during busy service periods.

- Formal culinary training or relevant culinary qualifications are a plus.
