Alcatraz Sydney is a new, multifaceted venue opening in the inner west. Primarily serving as a bespoke cocktail and Tapas bar, Alcatraz also doubles down as a live music venue and hub for everything culture, all within a heritage, industrial building and premium fit-out. Alcatraz is seeking a part time Chef as a cornerstone piece to our small, collaborative team; prioritising an individual that thrives in an upbeat, and lively work culture. The role is best suited to a creative and savvy approach in establishing, executing, and overseeing an amazing food culture within a new space and unique mix of service offerings.

• Food preparation  
• Execution of dinner service
• Standard kitchen upkeep
• Stock monitoring
• Food waste minimisation 
• Option for work in creative food development

Experience:

• Chef or cook with 3+ years of commercial kitchen experience 
• Preferred experience and understanding of Spanish and Latin American cooking.
