JOB DESCRIPTION

Archer Brewing in Brisbane is looking to fill the position of a senior chef. We are very happy to take the chance on someone who doesn't have head chef experience, but is wanting to take that step up, as our kitchen and menu isn't overly-complicated and we want to reward any hard work. 

The hours are predominantly Wednesday-Sunday. This is a salaried position for a 38 hour week, but it can be a part time option if that suits you best too.. We are pub food orientated, with a burger menu, some mexican options and snack food. We use good quality ingredients to create fantastic classics. There's room to flex creativity with daily specials - but not required.

We are looking for someone that has had experience in cooking pub food. Experience in: managing a kitchen, ordering and stocktake, functions, rostering and staff interactions is preferred but not essential.

Knowledge of health and safety, workplace hygiene procedures & HACCP procedures are required.

We need someone who is reliable, friendly and a positive team player that will mesh well into a team and have a good time. You will work closely with the owners, brewers and venue manager as a part of a small and happy but efficient team. We're not a high stress envrioment in the slightest and our ownership team always endeavours to take stress of your shoulders and will always offer a pint after a shift, as well as good staff perks and events.

Your own laptop, transport & knives are preferable but not necessary.

As a bit of a history of us, we're a fmaily owned brewery in a really unique building that we renovated ourselves. Our beers are made using 100% Australian ingredients and we love letting that filter into all avenues of the company too. We love using beer in the cooking where possible and appreciate individual flair.

Experience in a Kitchen.

Creative streak coming up with specials.

Keen eye for cost saving procedures.
